Allstate Foundation Donates $1000 to PULSE of NY

COPIAGUE, NY May 10, 2010 – Allstate Insurance Agent JamiLynn Fox, whose office is located at 1700 Great Neck Road in Copiague, has received the Agency Hands in the Community Award for her commitment to volunteering in the community. With this award came a $1000 grant from The Allstate Foundation for PULSE of NY in Wantagh, a grassroots patient safety advocacy organization where Fox volunteers.

PULSE of NY works to improve patient safety and reduce medical errors through advocacy, education, and support, using real life stories and experiences.

"Jami Lynn is an active and respected member of the business community, protecting people with insurance and financial services products," said Larry Sedillo, assistant field vice president at Allstate Insurance Company. "She also makes a point of getting involved personally by dedicating her time and efforts to making a difference in people’s lives.

"I am happy to be part of the PULSE of NY family," said Fox. "Their lifesaving work has helped me personally, and it's only right to help it continue."
