Health Fair for the Physically Challenged:Saturday, April 24, 10 a.m. to noon
PULSE will be represented with a booth and distributing informational literature at the Freeport Memorial Library Health Fair for the Physically Challenged on April 24 from 10:00 AM - Noon.
Guest Speaker Kyle Schuessler, a NY State Certified Paramedic for the Wantagh – Levittown Ambulance Corp. who also works in the emergency room of a Long Island Hospital will be speaking about the importance of planning ahead for patient’s safety.
“Patient’s and their families must think about what to do were an ambulance to arrive at their home” Schuessler, a paramedic for 16 years said. “Having a list of medications, doctors they use and even the name of a close family member to call is important when my crew enters the home”.
Ilene Corina, president of PULSE of NY will also be speaking about how patient’s families can help as advocates for the physically challenged.
